Join me for a unique 15 week online course this Fall, Strategic Painting 1, where we'll navigate key painting concepts in depth to help us learn how to handle paint both more efficiently and personally, as well as use our limited studio time more effectively. We'll discuss materials, light and shade concepts, composition and design ideas, and move into the exciting world of color bit by bit with a nuanced look at color temperature and working with a limited complementary color palette!
This course has been shaped over the past eight years to accommodate those new to the medium, as well as those of us who have been painting for a while. To allow for everybody's schedule, and the schedule that painting itself demands, we'll be meeting every other week live over Zoom. On the weeks we won't be meeting live, there will be video demonstrations of key ideas relative to our discussion. I'll be available every week to answer any questions you may have, and you're always welcome to hop into the Open Sketchbook Discord to ask the community as well!
